Wellingborough ABC Announces Sparring Day — Sunday 3rd August 2025
Wellingborough Amateur Boxing Club (WABC) is excited to announce that we will be hosting an Open Sparring Day on Sunday 3rd August 2025 at our gym in Talbot Road, Wellingborough.
This will be a fantastic opportunity for clubs from across the region to bring their boxers together in a friendly, well-managed environment to gain valuable ring experience and sharpen their skills ahead of the upcoming season.
We welcome boxers of all abilities and experience levels — from Schoolboys and Juniors to Seniors and Elites.

- Start Time: 11am onwards
- Entry: Free to attend but clubs must register in advance.

🔹 This is open sparring — it’s about skill development, learning, and controlled competition.
🔹 As we say at WABC: “It’s open skill, not open kill.”
🔹 Coaches are asked to respect this ethos and ensure sparring is competitive but safe.
🔹 No videoing of sparring will be allowed unless agreed by both sparring partners’ coaches in advance.
