It was not to be for Aleks this time, but he gave a very good account of himself away from home.

Aleks stepped in against a game opponent and was involved in a close, competitive bout from start to finish. He showed good heart, stayed in the contest throughout, and represented Wellingborough ABC well.

Unfortunately, the decision did not go our way, with Aleks ending up on the wrong side of a 2–1 split decision.

There is plenty to take from the performance, and bouts like this are all part of the learning process. Win or lose, the focus remains the same — keep improving, keep developing, and keep moving forward.

We go again.
