Alfie Gains Valuable Experience in First Competitive Bout 🥊

Wellingborough ABC’s Alfie Mains stepped through the ropes for his first competitive bout in King’s Lynn, facing a strong opponent from Bletchley.

Alfie gave a good account of himself and showed plenty of determination in what was his first taste of competitive amateur boxing.

His opponent boxed well and the contest was stopped by the referee in the second round. It wasn’t the result Alfie wanted, but a first bout is all about gaining experience, learning how competition feels and identifying what to work on next.

There were plenty of positives to take away, and this is only the beginning of Alfie’s boxing journey.

A big thank you to Charlie and Phil for travelling and cornering Alfie on the day.

Experience gained. Lessons learned. We go again. 🥊
