Today, Wellingborough ABC’s very own Darius stepped into the ring at the Northampton ABC show, taking on a tough opponent from Thames Valley Boxing Club. While the result didn’t go his way, Darius put in a brave and determined performance, making a solid account of himself in the ring.

Facing a southpaw for the first time, Darius had to adjust to a tricky style, but he showed great adaptability, heart, and skill throughout the bout. His work rate, movement, and commitment to the game plan were evident from the first bell to the last, proving that he’s growing as a boxer with every contest.

A huge thank you to Coach Mark for taking him to the show and to Coach Charlie for working his corner on the night. Their guidance and support continue to push our boxers forward, ensuring they gain valuable experience and confidence at every opportunity.

This is just the beginning for Darius—he’ll take the lessons from this bout, come back stronger, and no doubt get his hand raised in future contests. Well done, Darius! 👏🥊
