Wellingborough ABC’s Kaiomi Smith stepped through the ropes for her first skills bout this week, taking on a boxer from Trojan Martial Arts & Boxing.

Despite having less than a week’s notice, Kaiomi put in a really positive performance and boxed well under instruction throughout.

Skills bouts are all about development rather than winning or losing, giving young boxers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a controlled competitive environment. Kaiomi showed composure, listened to her corner and gained another important experience in her boxing journey.
